Materials that do not reflect any changes in physical, structural and chemical properties when exposed to high temperature are called heat resistant materials. These materials are used in the manufacturing car parts, ovens, floor of industrial buildings etc.

Different Types of Heat Resistant Materials
- Heat resistant sealants: Sealants are the materials that are used to close the gaps between solid sections of a machine so that they resist high pressure and temperature. They are present in two forms, cement and liquid form. Sealants are used to seal machined threading and connections. Cement sealants are mainly used to cover rough surfaces.
- They are used for very strong and precise sealing. Due to such amazing properties, they are used in industries like heavy equipment, automotive oil, power generation, marine, steel chemical etc. They are also used to repair any leakage present in refrigeration lines, boilers, steam turbines, compressors, heat exchangers, condensers and other thermodynamic and hydraulic systems.
- Heat resistant tapes: Heat resistant tapes are used where normal tapes can not work properly due to high temperature and pressure. They have low shrinking property as they have low coefficient of expansion. There is no need to worry about the size and tension of the tape even if they are working under several dry and wash cycles. They offer resistance to chlorine, perspiration and salt water. They are used in heat press processes including plate, high temperature sublimation process and mug printing.
- Fire blankets: Fire blankets are very popular heat resistant products. They are used to easily extinguish fires and can also reduce the chance of accidents. These blankets are made of heat resistant material sheets which are designed to drape over the fire to smother it by eliminating oxygen.
